As an international volunteer, you will be expected to:

– Teach English
– Immerse our ‘daughters’ in English
– Maintain and promote our social media accounts
– Write blog posts
– Proof read reports
– Help with fundraising
– Lead activities for fun or vocational training
– Other tasks depending on your skills, talents and ideas

We are looking for long term volunteers (minimum 3 months, ladies only) to teach English and take on other responsibilities here in Chiang Khong, and also in Chiang Rai, at Friends of Thai Daughters (the organization who sponsor our shelter’s activities).
It is likely that you will be able to spend some time at both Sunflower houses, so that you can get to know the whole sunflower family, and spend some time in the city and some of your time in this quiet but beautiful border town.

If you are unable to commit to the 3 months minimum requirement for English teachers, you may still be able to get involved. We are interested in collaborations with photographers, film-makers, journalists or other professionals who could help us spread the word about our work or improve our projects. If you have relevant specialist skills which you would like to share please get in touch.

One form of volunteering which we always need is fundraising. Fundraising for CRPC is certain to have a great impact on the lives of children and families here in Chiang Khong.
